INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGICAL SCIENCES (IATS)
The IATS is an international nongovernmental public organization. Its goal is to consolidate efforts of technology scientists from different countries whose activities are aimed at accelerating the development of advanced, environmentally friendly technologies.
The creation of the IATS was initiated at the International Conference on Nanotechnology in Interlaken, Switzerland, in 1991, with the support of the Russian-American Academy of Technological Sciences and the International Association "New High Technologies."
The IATS was established in 1991 at the general convention in Moscow and registered by the Ministry of Justice of the USSR on 4 June 1991. Its founders are the Academy of Technological Sciences of the Russian Federation and distinguished professionals from various scientific fields.
At present, the IATS includes 197 members, 67 of whom hold doctoral degrees in Technical, Chemical, Physical and Mathematical, Geological and Mineralogical Sciences.
The intellectual potential of the Academy members allows them not only to create new technologies but to serve as highly qualified experts in various fields of their activities, including the matters in the world and Russian oil and energy complex.
The IATS' main scientific research is carried out within the frameworks of Scientific Sections as well as the IATS Scientific and Technical Council and conducted in collaboration with scientific structures of other organizations, representatives of research institutes and institutions of higher education, CEO's etc.
